The New Moon in Leo on August 19th at 12:37pm AEST comes just after Mercury’s conjunction with the Sun seeding two new cycles in Leo energy, within two days. Leo energy is heartfelt, brave, creative, leadership driven, warm and centring.  Mercury’s conjunction with the Sun, burns off all the residue from the previous cycle and rejuvenating Mercury who is tired and worn out at the close of its last cycle.

The Sun in Leo bestows on Mercury the gifts of creativity, artistry, leadership, confidence, positivity and an assuredness rivalled by none. From its connection with the fires of the sky, this is a fantastic time for all creative explorations or being able to access the fun of communication, words, arts, truth and meaning. Be brave and be open to exploring new ways of presenting and communication. Don’t shy away from being seen.

This fiery baptism from the Sun begins a new synodic cycle for Mercury, instilling the qualities of a more creative and heart-focused communications and presentations. Initiating communications will feel more honest and centred around your own personal desires, along with the influence of a childlike curiosity to see things through fresh eyes.  Don’t shrink to fit in.

The New Moon follows this lead on August 19that 26° degrees of Leo.  The Sun and Moon align for their yearly conjunction much like the Mercury cycles these Leo themes are now being applied to the Moon for a 2-week cycle; until she reaches full light at the opposition in Aquarius where these new themes may be challenged, or evolve in some way. The Moon’s embodiment of this energy differs from Mercury, as it’s a more internal process offering nourishment and emotional re-alignment to Leo themes, allowing our re-identification with them.

Leo energy is bold, its brave, its leadership, it’s the spotlight, it’s the gravitational pull, it’s the attraction, it’s the creativity, joy, and child like curiosity and investigation of things. The Leo new moon seeks to bring this into the emotional sphere to create more sovereignty and autonomy with regards to our health and our emotional wellbeing and prioritizing it.  Paying extra attention too or looking at heart health is also good at this time.

The new moon, like the last full moon is the first un-aspected new moon to the eclipse points, new moon in Cancer which was opposite Saturn and conjunct these eclipses points was noted for its heaviness and feelings of intensity and even depression. At this Leo new moon, it’s the opposite. Leo energy is supportive leadership and it’s not afraid to shine, and this new moon along with mercury’s new cycles helps to creates a new connection with your relationship with this…. Enjoy x

Venus in Cancer 2020

Venus shifted into Cancer on August 8thwhere she will stay until September 7th , this shift after 4 months in Gemini, instead of the usual 1 month is moving Venus away from social & intellectual focus and connectivity offered by Gemini (yang) into a more nourishing and comfort focused (yin) Cancerian setting.

Venus enjoys the cool moistness of Cancer’s waters elementally, especially after spending an extended time period in a dry detached air element of Gemini. Her retrograde is officially over in Gemini for another 8 years, insights gleaned from her Gemini phase (April – August) is what Venus in Cancer is slowly helping integrate. Venus now extends her beneficence thorough Cancerian themes and topics like comforts, food, home, family, ancestors, nourishment and nurturing yourself or others. Connecting to mother or those that you see and feel as mother energies is beneficial.

Things may get a little bit bumpy as towards the end of this transit, as she meets up with Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn by opposition, however what Venus is trying to do is heal and tend to these old wounds, by showing benefits, of such processing. Venus will not be shy and will do her best to smooth it over as best she can, as she continues her quests of beneficence, that now grace the Cancer sector of the sky & your birth chart, whist integrating new lessons from her retrograde cycle, even if things get a bit confronting by months end.

Deep in darkness, restriction and burdens weigh heavy. Hours after the New Moon in Cancer, its effects are heightened with the Sun’s opposition to Saturn. The Sun’s light revealing the cracks, as it pours light from an opposing angle, allowing a new view of what has been bound together and constructed.

This occurring deep in the darkness of the ‘new’ moon, IS hard. Waiting for the moons first crescent of light to hatch, is uncomfortable. When this light is shed La Luna is finally able to help, lessen the intensity of feeling and emotion. Until then, this is where we will be.

The cracks and stress fractures are currently well-lit and obvious. The Sun opposite Saturn makes any weakness apparent, any regrets glaringly obvious. We will be sitting with this, waiting and wandering, lamenting as we gather ourselves for the Sun to progress into Leo on July 23rd.

When the Sun enters Leo, we are welcomed with its warmth and more inspired to play in its light.  It is at this time that the first of the moon’s new light begins to shine down upon us. Allowing us to move forward with the insights gleaned over this challenging dark moon cycle. Until then we sit and a wait, processing as we anticipate the return of the King, and the Sun’s entry into Leo.

August Astro Weather : Leaving the Grind Behind

Congratulations, its finally August! We are finishing up what felt like, the real time version of Survivor. June and July has been the most challenging Astrology of 2019 some would say ever, especially if you are Cardinal sign (Cancer, Capricorn, Libra or Aries). It was horrendous for some, lacklustre and depressing for others, if it didn’t touch you, well congratulation you are in the minority. But we are finally on the other side of it, from NOW – as the New Moon in Leo occurs, 1:13pm ASET.

August & September are exciting with innovative and creative problem solving, of the muck that was churned up in June / July, due to Jupiter and Uranus hitting stellium’s in Leo and Virgo. This IS positive as there is a feeling of control and freedom. Momentum and Joie de vie is back, August 10th Jupiter station direct after a 3 months retrograde, adding to the buoyant nature of the upcoming months.

October – November we keep plodding along the track, fresh off the highs of August and September. December, however, is when things get a bit tricky again. The beaming highs might drop like a thud as Jupiter enters Capricorn the sign of its fall, in early December, and we re-enter the eclipse season. Advise: Things are warming up from now until December, finally our Mojo’s are being rediscovered, with Jupiter in Sagittarius offering us 4 full months of his exulted ray beams of Mojo Love. It’s time to enjoy the Sunshine and follow anything that truly inspires our passions and joy. They don’t call Jupiter the higher Benefic for nothing ! Trust and Enjoy, the Sun is finally coming back out, we are leaving the grind behind !

Mercury Direct in Cancer -The Kick Inside

Within 24 hours after the Leo New Moon, Mercury Station’s direct, from the watery shadows of Cancer, opposed by an even more shadowy Pluto in Capricorn. Mercury has been delayed, obstructed and downright frustrated, creating an energetic atmosphere akin to sitting in a dark swap land, waiting for the bus to arrive, to take you far away from the drudgery, only to find out the bus route was on a slower timetable AND the Bus has broken down. Turns out, you got nothing but time to lament.
 
Movements & La Communication were stalled, redirected, non-existent and frustrating. This time around the messages seemed more intense and damn right confronting. With no real traction and generating no solid resolutions, since the beginning of July, possibly even late June. Set amongst the Eclipse mash ups in Cancer and Capricorn, it was an especially gnarly example of a Mercury Retrograde. Frustrating, complicated and fraught with emotions and expectations. Dwelling, detouring and following these Mercurial Bends and Twists, was the only clear option, whilst trying not to lose your shit.
 
This is changing August 2nd when Mercury stands still to begin its direct motion, clearing its original Station point on August 15th. The dwelling and la communication dis-illusion will be but a memory. The week following this, Mercury will trine Jupiter, its first positive aspect since its post retrograde phase. Creating clearer vision of what this whole Retrograde drudgery was about.
 
Currently, your striking your last match in a wet cave underground; you’re using all your will to ignite, watching the flame struggle for oxygen, after beating the damp flint at its own game, not knowing which way it is going to go, Ignites ! Finally there is a light to begin your navigation out of this underground cave, as Mercury begins to make its way to the light of August & Leo Season 🦁💥♌️🌈

Sun in Leo – Return of the King

Happy Sun into Leo, as of like now ! The Sun finally reaches its domicile, home or sign of its Rulership. It is now that we can begin to feel our way out of the abyss, that we have felt stranded in over the past 2 months.

The Sun’s ingress into Leo today, begins this process … but the full fruits of this shift will not begin until the New Moon in Leo, August 1st AEST….The New Moon in Leo our first non-eclipsed Lunation since June 3rd. How much has changed or shifted since June 3rd ?!!

The Sun’s shift in to Leo today, we can begin to see the fruits of our time alone in the abyss as things become clearer, or optimistic.  With this shift into Leo season, as The Sun & other planets transit Leo, it  also marks the beginnings of positive aspects to Jupiter in Sagittarius, good time guru and wise teacher, finally gets to have some positive help after 2 months of Planetary bodies being caught up in the Doom Clutters of Pluto & Saturn in Capricorn entangled with the Moons Nodes.

The Sun’s ingress into Leo is the first shafts of light, presenting  this new paradigm, finally the pressure is beginning to subside, and its start point is literally NOW 🤗💥❤️🌞♌️🦁
