April invites you to focus on your Relationships and one on one connections. This month’s Full Moon in Libra shines brightly on your one on one relationships. Allow this ripening and maturation to feed both sides of the equation. This only occurs once a year, the next 6 months focus is on releasing or letting go of any negative aspects or traits.
Aprils New Moon in Taurus is the perfect time to focus on yourself by creating rebellious acts of Self-Love. The New Moon snuggling up to Uranus, a planet all about revolution and changes. Are there any secrets you been harbouring, any acts of nurturing, self-worth building and love, you would like to explore? If so, don’t be surprised it the impetus is suddenly upon you.
With Venus spending four months in your sign instead of its usual one month, Venus is front and centre in grabbing your attention. Venus brings together, allows pleasures and harmonizes people and connections. The Venus retrograde (in May) slows things down and turns things inside out. This month the real focus is on Venus, and what she means to you. Is Venus bringing all that you really desire your way? Are all your relationships healthy? Focus on that.
The 12thHouse is a private and very personal space, Venus focusing her energy there for the next four months, stirs up some deep waters. Venus is pleasure and she has a binding affect, a drawing together. Focusing in on what your deepest desires are, and what you want to attract, from your deepest and most personal space. This is April’s focus is for you, don’t be fooled into thinking it’s a passing inquiry.
Leo’s love to engage and are social creatures at heart. This April Venus in your social house, for four months, instead of the usual one month prolongs your focus. Venus loves to bring together and engage, April begins a long focus and assessment on this. This month’s focus is about going out, enjoying the company of others and social groups and engagements. If something isn’t pushing your buttons, follow that thread. It’s vital information, for the months to come.
April’s focus is on your Career and Reputation at large. Venus love to bring blessings and attract helpful people to your world. April begins this energetic focus, as she spends four months instead of one month, in your Career sector. Your Focus, to enjoy any gifts, offers or compliments. However, any doubts, niggling suspicious or not quite right feelings … follow it, as Venus is evolving. It’s not as clear cut as it might appear at first.
Mercury enters your opposing sign of Aries in April, after months of being stuck in Pisces, a water sign. Mercury in Aries allows you to focus on clear, passionate, innovative and directive communications with your Partners and those you have a One on One Relationship with. After feeling like so much misunderstanding or confusion, Mercury in Aries, allows you to be clear and decisive of what you want in Relationships, focus on that!
April’s New Moon occurs in your 7thhouse of relationships, it’s a wonderful time to focus on letting go of any old baggage from the past year and clean the slate to draw in more aligned partnerships. Uranus being involved could make it much easier than anticipated. Venus moves into your house of resources and other people’s money, where it will stay focused for the next four months. Do proceed with caution, any large investments with people or any loans from April, might end up being more complicated that initially intended.
The New Moon in April offers new focus or opportunity around your health, fitness, daily routine as it pertains to daily routine. As Uranus is involved, it might help revolutionised your day to day living or come out of nowhere. Small changes can have big impacts. Venus moving into your Relationship house for four months means, your relationships are evolving.
April sees Mars enter your Money house, focusing on your Money and what you do with it is very important this month. Mars can see your money disappear as quickly as you earn it. Venus begins a long elaborate journey through your health and work sector. Focusing on your day-to-day routine, will help signal where any changes need to be made. This is a longer journey, than initially expected. Focus on physical and mental wellbeing as the end result
The New Moon next to Uranus, a planet whose focus is to change and individuate, occurs in your Home, Family, Ancestor sectors. This is a yearly event, to help clean the slate and re-focus your relationship to your Home and Family. Mars is visible to all, as your motivation and actions make your intentions clear. Focus on individuation and using your strength and determination to move you forwards.
Venus makes her presence felt around your Family, Home and Ancestors. It’s an intensive focus which lasts four months, instead of the usual one. Focusing on this area of life will help bring through what is being asked to be born, built or accepted. Mars activates your subconscious and private sectors. It is important to not brush aside fears or stresses that arise. Mars is about stirring and ending. Ending any stress or anxiety is positive, although its focus might be unpleasant. Focus on the irradiation, not the process.
Mars moves into Aquarius today, moving away from the sign and degree of his Exaltation, where he wields his strength with great force and valour. Mars always ignites, inflames or aggravates all that he touches, and his recent transit of Capricorn especially highlights this.
Moving through Capricorn making aspects to Pluto (Profound Evolution and Change), Jupiter (expansion and optimism) & The Nodes, any triggers weren’t light on impact. Jupiter this time around, hasn’t helped, with no ability to pull down the malefic nature of it all, due to it being in such a downtrodden and Ill effective position. The Nodes, also present on this axis, just doubles down on the magnitude and gravitas of it all. Mars in Capricorn during 2020 has showed just how fast moving and troublesome, he can really be.
When Mars moves into Aquarius, is a mixed blessing. He is finally moving away from a heavy concentration of confronting energy in Capricorn, which is goes about the cold and clinical ways of doing its business. Mars moving away from this hot mess in Capricorn, is good. But it has 2 last showdowns to complete, and perhaps one of the most powerful.
31stMarch is when the 2 malefic finally meet. Mars conjoining Saturn in Aquarius at 0 degrees. Mars has been chasing down Saturn to make the conjunction since his entry into Capricorn. Mars is quick volatility, Saturn is slower, but fear inducing and consequential. I personally prefer my Conquences to not be delivers at pace, but this is how this duo rolls. It’s a volatile combo who can easily manifest in ways that are challenging individually and collectively.
In 2020 Mars and Saturn are connected to each other for 12 weeks instead of the usual 6 weeks. We are currently at the halfway point. Mars moving into Aquarius will in some ways bring down the high intensity a notch, seeing its fricative nature being applied in a different yet still challenging way, until mid-May.
As these 2 planets separate by 7thApril, this is when Mars Squares Uranus hot on the heels of its Saturn conjunction. This adds a very unpredictive and reactionary quality to early April. It is not until Mars enters Pisces mid-May, that we will begin to see an easing of the intense pressure and speed to which these once in a lifetime events that are unfolding. Will it all be over then, no, but we will be able to begin to process the gravity or gravitas of our current situation, with less volatility and fear. Individually and collectively.
As Mars enters Aquarius, Mercury also clears its retrograde shadow. Moving from its incredibly murky and haze ridden retrograde, will help. Beginning to detangle some of the events that have happened at great speed since mid-February. Finally discovering what lays beneath the ashes. Beginning to understand the position we find ourselves…
22 March 2020 at 1500 AEST, Saturn ingresses into Aquarius, for the first time since early 1994, beginning a new Saturn Cycle. March 22ndoffers us a 3-month introduction, before it goes back into Capricorn, before the final ingress into Aquarius in Dec 2020, where it will stay for 3 years.
Historically Saturn in Aquarius seems to bring large technological changes and brings marginalized groups strongly into focus and frame. 22 March – 2nd July 2020 will give an insight into where the challenge is to evolve over the next 3.5 years. Remembering, that Saturn is the traditional ruler of Aquarius. Saturn’s traditional rulership makes it strong in Aquarius, helping it carry through or alter any work established in Capricorn. But extending it via the Aquarius lens. Saturn gives these two signs a commonality, it is how they express it which leads to their difference.
The last time Saturn was in Aquarius, we saw the deconstruction of the USSR (26 December 1991 at 2 degrees of Aquarius) . Allowing independent states, who were always ethnically and culturally different, gain independence from the Communist banner of the USSR. Also, a thing called “The Worldwide Web” aka The Internet was for the first time, introduced to the public for mass consumption. Yes, the Internet is having its Saturn return. With so much going on right now in the world, seeing Saturn shift from a heavy and more private / Yin earth sign into a masculine and detached Air sign, may offer some small relief. Having the elemental shift from a loaded Earth sign to Air, breathes life and ideas into an atmosphere, which has been so heavily dominated by earth for the past 2 years. Positive for our Air folk. (Libra, Aquarius and Gemini). Innovation is also very much an Aquarius theme. Saturn’s ingress into Air, frees up some of the rigid obstacles and challenged we currently face.
With regards to the current situation in Australia at least. I wouldn’t be surprised at its ingress, if the Australian Government, closes down the state boarders and air travel to help contain the movement of Covit 19. Governments restricting the movements of its people, to help protect the safety of our broader community. Saturn (restriction and government law) Aquarius (the community and groups.) We have already seen and will most likely see more financial protections for people who are financially marginalized/exposed in the community, by this pandemic. This protection may expand to groups who have been previously exclude, due to the threats being so serious, and unprecedented.
Saturn in Aquarius tomorrow, it may see some revolutionary and new inventive strategies to help stem this building Covit 19 pandemic. Only time will tell, with regards to what and how Saturn in Aquarius will present, but boy what a time to come to the party.
Today marks Venus moving into Taurus, for a month-long transit in the sign it rules, Taurus. Venus, is in a challenging aspect for a lot of 2020, with March being the best month for Venus type elections and themes. Venus in Taurus has its focus on nourishment via food, bodily nurture, investment or acquisition of Venus type products (Art, Jewellery, Beauty Products, Food appliances etc), as well engaging in activities that bring great joy and connectivity. Where Libra is more social and external in its Venus significations; Taurus is more grounded, homely, private or yin focused. Venus in Taurus is more private, with an internal focus in its manifestation.
During March, Venus while in Taurus, will have helpful aspects to Mars and Jupiter, which allows opportunity and joyous situations, to have that extra synergy, with lots of vigour. March is the month to really push any Venus type goals or engagements. Why? in April, Venus begin it’s 4-month transit in Gemini due to its retrograde, (usually it’s a month-long transit) which will give Venus a more analytical and busy focus, less relaxation, busier and more flustered. There will be frustrations and delays in group activities, engagements, or Venus type aims. Not great for a planet whose focus is to bring things together, and harmonizing. Post the retrograde, Mars & Saturn comes into play to create challenging aspects to her. Short answer, March is the month to really step-back and work the pleasures at play. #thebrujamix # Luminaryastro #luminaryastrology#VenusinTaurus#Venustransits#astrology#aries#taurus#gemini#cancer#leo#virgo#libra#scorpio#sagitarrius#capricorn#aquarius#pisces❤️🌹🧚♀️💪👌🙌🏽🐿💫
Congratulations, its finally August! We are finishing up what felt like, the real time version of Survivor. June and July has been the most challenging Astrology of 2019 some would say ever, especially if you are Cardinal sign (Cancer, Capricorn, Libra or Aries). It was horrendous for some, lacklustre and depressing for others, if it didn’t touch you, well congratulation you are in the minority. But we are finally on the other side of it, from NOW – as the New Moon in Leo occurs, 1:13pm ASET.
August & September are exciting with innovative and creative problem solving, of the muck that was churned up in June / July, due to Jupiter and Uranus hitting stellium’s in Leo and Virgo. This IS positive as there is a feeling of control and freedom. Momentum and Joie de vie is back, August 10th Jupiter station direct after a 3 months retrograde, adding to the buoyant nature of the upcoming months.
October – November we keep plodding along the track, fresh off the highs of August and September. December, however, is when things get a bit tricky again. The beaming highs might drop like a thud as Jupiter enters Capricorn the sign of its fall, in early December, and we re-enter the eclipse season. Advise: Things are warming up from now until December, finally our Mojo’s are being rediscovered, with Jupiter in Sagittarius offering us 4 full months of his exulted ray beams of Mojo Love. It’s time to enjoy the Sunshine and follow anything that truly inspires our passions and joy. They don’t call Jupiter the higher Benefic for nothing ! Trust and Enjoy, the Sun is finally coming back out, we are leaving the grind behind !

relating to or denoting the planets Jupiter and Venus, traditionally considered to have a favourable influence.
Within 24 hours after the Leo New Moon, Mercury Station’s direct, from the watery shadows of Cancer, opposed by an even more shadowy Pluto in Capricorn. Mercury has been delayed, obstructed and downright frustrated, creating an energetic atmosphere akin to sitting in a dark swap land, waiting for the bus to arrive, to take you far away from the drudgery, only to find out the bus route was on a slower timetable AND the Bus has broken down. Turns out, you got nothing but time to lament.
Movements & La Communication were stalled, redirected, non-existent and frustrating. This time around the messages seemed more intense and damn right confronting. With no real traction and generating no solid resolutions, since the beginning of July, possibly even late June. Set amongst the Eclipse mash ups in Cancer and Capricorn, it was an especially gnarly example of a Mercury Retrograde. Frustrating, complicated and fraught with emotions and expectations. Dwelling, detouring and following these Mercurial Bends and Twists, was the only clear option, whilst trying not to lose your shit.
This is changing August 2nd when Mercury stands still to begin its direct motion, clearing its original Station point on August 15th. The dwelling and la communication dis-illusion will be but a memory. The week following this, Mercury will trine Jupiter, its first positive aspect since its post retrograde phase. Creating clearer vision of what this whole Retrograde drudgery was about.
Currently, your striking your last match in a wet cave underground; you’re using all your will to ignite, watching the flame struggle for oxygen, after beating the damp flint at its own game, not knowing which way it is going to go, Ignites ! Finally there is a light to begin your navigation out of this underground cave, as Mercury begins to make its way to the light of August & Leo Season 🦁💥♌️🌈
The Leo New Moon on August 1st @ 1312 (ASET) is our official slamming shut of the Eclipse window which has occupied June & July’s Skyscape. The Eclipse Season, plus the pile up of Planets on the Cancer Capricorn Axis, which focused heavily on the consequences of ignoring in-balances of Private and Public Spheres, was grinding to say the least. Nourishment & Emotional Needs vs Requirements and Pressures from External forces, in order to keep up with the functions of Societies rigid frameworks and expectations; making the past 2 months feel like a slow soft boil set to constant. 🍳The Leo New Moon is when we see that slow cook finally turned off.
As we move into August, where 3 of the 4 personal planets transit Leo and make positive aspects to Jupiter in Sagittarius, allows a restoration of faith and optimism, that Jupiter in Sadge always brings. His aspects to the Sun, Mercury, Venus & Mars who are in need of Jupiter’s restorative rays are well timed considering the heavy storms created by June & Julys Astro-weather. This Leo New Moon really gets this process going, helping shift the focus FROM heavy emotional and hard to move out of thoughts and feelings (thanks Mercury Rx in Cancer), DELIVERING us to a place of conviction to move past the issues that have been nabbing us at our heels for the past 2 months. The New Moon in Leo is the start point – from where we finally get to survey our newly formed Lands and Kingdoms from above, inspiring the creative and stoking the fires of what possibilities await. Finally the wet wood is drying out and this New Moon allows us to gently and safely gets us stoking and burning the Fires again. We are finally getting moving again ! ♌️🌚❤️👌🚗🦁🐣🙌🏽 🌈⚡️www.thebrujamix.com ⚡️
Happy Sun into Leo, as of like now ! The Sun finally reaches its domicile, home or sign of its Rulership. It is now that we can begin to feel our way out of the abyss, that we have felt stranded in over the past 2 months.
The Sun’s ingress into Leo today, begins this process … but the full fruits of this shift will not begin until the New Moon in Leo, August 1st AEST….The New Moon in Leo our first non-eclipsed Lunation since June 3rd. How much has changed or shifted since June 3rd ?!!
The Sun’s shift in to Leo today, we can begin to see the fruits of our time alone in the abyss as things become clearer, or optimistic. With this shift into Leo season, as The Sun & other planets transit Leo, it also marks the beginnings of positive aspects to Jupiter in Sagittarius, good time guru and wise teacher, finally gets to have some positive help after 2 months of Planetary bodies being caught up in the Doom Clutters of Pluto & Saturn in Capricorn entangled with the Moons Nodes.
The Sun’s ingress into Leo is the first shafts of light, presenting this new paradigm, finally the pressure is beginning to subside, and its start point is literally NOW 🤗💥❤️🌞♌️🦁
The Lunar Eclipse in Capricorn tomorrow is conjoined Saturn, our keeper of lessons, the master of restriction and it will oppose Venus; the bringer of joy and cohesive Relationships, in Cancer. This eclipse on the South Node is allowing the release of old ideas around relationships, while opening a space for new formations, as the South Node has a purging effect on the planets its aspects.
Saturn conjoined the South Node, means these may be long standing patterns that are plum ripe to be let go of. Self – limiting mindsets around relationships, have a helping hand in being let go of, as this Cancer / Capricorn Axis is activated fully for the first time in this eclipse series. Eclipses ARE the gateways of change.
Cancer and Capricorn speaks to the see-sawing around nourishment, person comforts, protection and space VS the need to exert oneself into the world, in an attempt to be seen with a long list accomplishment, no matter what the barriers. Cancer doesn’t always feel comfortable in propelling its self into the world to be exposed and vulnerable, whereas Capricorn isn’t always able to see that looking after one’s self or the care of those they hold the nearest and dearest; can be of more value than Status, Power or Money it chases. This is the sea-saw motion being navigated by tomorrow eclipse, with Venus and Saturn being drawn into the mix allowing for a purging of Old Value Systems around Relationships and Power, between yourself and the environments you seek to climb. Some very old stories might be dredged up at this Eclipse. It’s time to restore the balance if it has become uneven, or to let go of the stuff that is blocking the path forward. Where do you need to open yourself up more?
Venus isn’t having the best time opposing the South Node, Pluto and Saturn. However, post eclipse, allows for a fire purging of Venus, burning off the residual of all that is trying to constrain her momentum forward. This Post Eclipse burn off, when Venus is meeting the Sun then opposing Pluto, is a road she must travel to revitalise and purge allowing her to make the most of the new cycle, which awaits. Saturn which always limits and controls, will be asked by the Moon & The South Node, to delved deep into emotional waters, to separate and strip what is not needed in this new phase and what has been out grown and superfluous. The South Node/Saturn conjunction last longer than the actual eclipse. But tomorrows eclipse speeds up the urgency and blocks out the light to allow the purging and releasing to take place, as we make our way to an exciting and contrasting Leo Season ❤️💫🌕🌖🌗🌘🌑🌒🌓🌔🌕💥www.thebrujamix.com
Lunar Eclipse: 17 July in Capricorn 07:38 AEST @ 24°
Mars in Cancer: 17 May – 2nd July (Challenging aspects from 11 June onwards)
Mercury Retrograde: 8th of July (S RX)– 1st of August (Station Direct) 16 August (out of the retrograde degree.)
The Solstice annually marks the beginnings of the Sun’s movements through The Cancer & Capricorn Axis points. Cancer and Capricorn are signs that mark the greatest imbalance of Light and Dark, no matter what sphere you live in. Reflecting the extremes of the light and dark in the physical world as we know it.
Since the ingress of the Moon’s Nodes, the Eclipse points, or Rahu & Ketu into the signs of Cancer and Capricorn (Nov 2018 – July 2020) this axis point has become a more sensitive and accelerated area for growth, and modification. These are points of change and create a deep push pull effect, working through deep and sensitive plot points of one’s life. The Eclipses of 2019 take place in Capricorn and Cancer. Meaning if you have any planets in Cardinal Signs of Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn – you will be more directly affected. Planets in Capricorn or Cancer are directly being moulded, modified or purified. Planets in Libra and Aries are being affected by reverbs of these Cancer and Capricorn symphonic clashes.
Capricorn currently has a longer, slower, deeper and at times invisible story unfolding, with the 15-year transit of Pluto through it sign, creating situations and experience of deep modification to the areas of life, that Capricorn planets or points the sign rules over, in one’s birth chart. Pluto transit’s in duration are the longest and slowest of the Zodiac, as well as being the deepest and at times confronting and arduous. Any planets or points that Pluto hit, are hijacked for plutonic redress.
Saturn, the ruler of Capricorn is halfway through its transit of its home sign, making Saturn especially dignified and strong in its current restructuring and Strength testing, of all that sits in the Capricorn realm. Since December 2017 this has been working in direct connection with Pluto in Capricorn, by first sign and then aspect. It is creeping closer to conjunction in January 2020. Saturn is challenging the strength of ideas and concepts that are being build or trying to come to fruition, through day by day labouring. Pluto and Saturn are industrial purging and structural change agents. Since November 2018, Pluto and Saturn have had Ketu or the South Node join the industrial party. Pluto and Saturn are currently working towards a conjunction in 2020, in Capricorn. The last time this occurred was 1982, at the height of the Cold War, and the rise of Neo Liberalism in Western Government Policy. Saturn Pluto is seen as drastic times of economic change and conflict. More on this cycle in another post.
Ketu or the dragon’s tail is a purging and detoxifying energy. Ketu is pushing for release of things that are not essential or spiritually aligned to the planets or areas of life, its transiting. Ketu is directly affecting the Capricorn, area and placements. Ketu is joining and working with Pluto / Saturn and is creating an intensified experience. The Pluto Saturn and Ketu transits are catalyst of change pushing you to purify the grounds and environments your seeking to master or conquer.
Capricorn experiences are anything that is slow, and an area of life which reaches maturation over a long period of time. Capricorn energy is about things that you believe are solid, and sure footed. This solidity allows for feeding of, and creation of gains and overall reward after sacrifice and hard work. But what Pluto and Ketu are doing is adding 2 almost invisible layers of disruption, testing, to see if these structures are truly aligned with you and your forward momentum to the top of the proverbial mountain. Why climb to the top of a dormant or landslide prone mountain? The current planetary transits are testing this sure footedness. This energy will begin to separate by late October, once Ketu clears from its separation from Saturn.
In the Cancer corner, Cancer the only Cardinal Sign in Water. It is emotional source energy, protected and hidden way by a Crab shell, a tough front, water is hidden away behind strong barriers. Cancer is the opposite sign of Capricorn. Cancer energy is strong, intuitive, protective, nurturing and sweetness fortified by a protective armour. Once it allows you into the sphere, this is when Cancer energy can really be worked with and enjoyed. Cancer like Capricorn is hard yin. Where you have Cancer in your chart, is where, what you most treasure is tucked away, protected from the storms, protecting the source of emotion and intuition. Cancer energy is like a precious spring well, an individual keep hidden away, until trust has been gained, to share the source.
Cancer, has been experiencing Saturn and Pluto from its opposite sign, challenging this protective method. Meaning any planets or areas of life that are in the sign of Cancer have had this constant stress, purification, change, strength testing around its Source energy, for a few years now. The 2020 conjunction will directly affect Cancer planets and points. Putting real pressure on keeping its Water Wells, clean and protected, in the face of constant challenge from its opposing sign Capricorn.
Rahu or The North Node has been transiting Cancer since November 2018. Rahu, like Ketu, they are direct opposites, they operate together, by moving together as constant opposites. Rahu brings a new dynamic to the Cancer Sphere. Where Ketu detox’s or purges, Rahu devours and is hungry, and constantly consumes, like hungry ghost energy. Eclipses were thought to be an animal devouring the Sun, Rahu energy, is the devourer of the Sun and Moon. Rahu has an endless hunger and consumption, without proper ability to digest, or nurture being the bi-product of this endless consumption. Rahu can push you into areas or can provide opportunities to change and evolve, however, Ketu must also be brought into the equation. As they balance each other. Like a good food diet – the Nodes are constantly balancing consumption and processing. Managing their push pull is complex is part of the astrological process of June and July. Rahu and Ketu don’t necessary do this on their own naturally. It is through awareness, that mastery of the Rahu and Ketu can begin.
This June and July, we see Mars and Mercury transit Cancer, acting as triggers and accelerating by applying fast acting pressure to these longer-term transits highlighted above. This is creating the volatile environment of June and July. Mars & Mercury will be putting lots of pressure on to the deeper and darkest corners. June and July have great potential to create tension, explosions or confrontation. There will be challenges and questions about the roads we are currently on, especially around, Status, Family, Ancestry, Rooting, Home and Building for the Future.
Mars is in its Fall in Cancer, Mars and Cancer are not comfortable bed fellows. Mars is fast, aggressive, reactionary, Yang Fire. Cancer is slower, more cautious, protective, Yin Water. Mars entered Cancer on May 17th, but by June 11th we see Mars begin to activate Saturn, Pluto and The Nodes, by opposition and conjunction. Mars is setting the frame work for a very active Solstice period. Mars is very much the aggressor of this situation. Being in its sign of its fall, it doesn’t operate as it should. Mars in Cancer can see explosions of pent up and emotional anger or aggression. Rahu and Ketu can add, a deeper level of repressed emotional trauma or ancestral trauma. Saturn and Pluto – also speak to this concept of clearing out deep emotional trauma leading the way to better foundations or reconciliation.
Mars transiting Cancer, sees a match stick being raised and set. Not allowing Mars to burn off the deadwood, in a wet environment, is where trouble could be caused. This contrary situation (Water and Fire) means Mars WILL find other outlets to do its job, if the steam isn’t let off. The outcome might become more explosive than needed or required. So, if things do heat up, don’t smother them, the aim is to control the fire (like a planned burn off) rather than avoiding the fire, because you wanted to hold on to the dead wood. Mars is tricky this month, work with it.
Mercury will come to play as it enters Cancer on June 5th, Mercury is naturally fast and is a problem solver whose speed and rational brings intellectual smarts to the table. However, Mercury begins to slow down in June and turns Retrograde July 8th, beginning its retrograde cycle in Leo/Cancer. This Mercury retrograde, timed perfectly after Mars’ transit of Cancer, activating all the sticky points of the chart, really speaks to the 3-fold effect which is building around this time frame and the purging and re-visioning of our Capricorn / Cancer axis of our lives. Mercury Retrograde is here to focus down on and deeply integrate the fireworks or steam lead off during the Mars transit in Cancer.
Mercury’s Retrograde adds to this entanglement by slowing down, and stalling where smart ideas or quick intellect would usually over ride to alter a situation. Where Mercury would deliver inspired thought or problem solving, this retrograde will add extra pressure to an already pressurize astrological frame work. Events as they unfold will have the longer-term benefit of the Mercurial trickster, moving over these points for a 3-fold breakdown or chapter developments. But the overall feel of this will be of slow and arduous, for limited immediate resolve, in June & July.
Finally, the 3rd and final act in this triple whammy of faster transitory triggers is the actual Eclipses of the Cancer / Capricorn axis. Eclipses are formed when the Nodal access points (Rahu and Ketu), intercept the orbits of the Sun, Moon and Earth. Creating Eclipses. Eclipses are times of quickening and are turbo charged Full and New Moon Lunations. Eclipse energy is tricky and it’s not a great time for any form of divination, let alone clarity. The Sun and Moon are blocked, unseen forces are at play, Eclipse times are times for rest and letting things play out.
July 2019 has 2 Eclipses, a Solar & Lunar Eclipse. These will be occurring at the New Moon in Cancer & Full Moon in Capricorn. The effects of these eclipses can last until the next non eclipsed lunation or until the next eclipse in this axis series. IF you have any planets in Capricorn or Cancer, aspecting these Eclipses, these Planets will feel the effect more strongly in your chart than if you don’t, have any planets in aspect. Generally, Eclipses are just strange times, and general caution should be applied.
Overall, there is ALOT going on over the next 2 months, with much of it feeding into the larger 2020 astrological story. Eclipse wise June and July will hark back to December 2018 / January 2019. The next 2 months will have a more notable strength to it with the Mars transit of Cancer and the Mercury Retrograde that begins to unfold in July.
The overwhelming story of these transits is to be gentle and commit to processing or going with whatever pops up. Repressing it, fighting it, ignoring it or not confronting it will be hugely problematic under the above astrology, and inflammation likely, due to the Mars in Cancer element. Being active rather than reactive or defensive is a good way of dealing with such conflicting energy. It may feel like it is dragging on, or not developing, but the good news is come August / September, things will be in a much better shape and there will be a much stronger platform to launch from. Just don’t let Mars in Cancer make you, come up a cropper! and be careful of the webs you weave during June & July.
