August Astro Weather : Leaving the Grind Behind

Congratulations, its finally August! We are finishing up what felt like, the real time version of Survivor. June and July has been the most challenging Astrology of 2019 some would say ever, especially if you are Cardinal sign (Cancer, Capricorn, Libra or Aries). It was horrendous for some, lacklustre and depressing for others, if it didn’t touch you, well congratulation you are in the minority. But we are finally on the other side of it, from NOW – as the New Moon in Leo occurs, 1:13pm ASET.

August & September are exciting with innovative and creative problem solving, of the muck that was churned up in June / July, due to Jupiter and Uranus hitting stellium’s in Leo and Virgo. This IS positive as there is a feeling of control and freedom. Momentum and Joie de vie is back, August 10th Jupiter station direct after a 3 months retrograde, adding to the buoyant nature of the upcoming months.

October – November we keep plodding along the track, fresh off the highs of August and September. December, however, is when things get a bit tricky again. The beaming highs might drop like a thud as Jupiter enters Capricorn the sign of its fall, in early December, and we re-enter the eclipse season. Advise: Things are warming up from now until December, finally our Mojo’s are being rediscovered, with Jupiter in Sagittarius offering us 4 full months of his exulted ray beams of Mojo Love. It’s time to enjoy the Sunshine and follow anything that truly inspires our passions and joy. They don’t call Jupiter the higher Benefic for nothing ! Trust and Enjoy, the Sun is finally coming back out, we are leaving the grind behind !

Leo New Moon: Inflammāre

The Leo New Moon on August 1st @ 1312 (ASET) is our official slamming shut of the Eclipse window which has occupied June & July’s Skyscape.   The Eclipse Season, plus the pile up of Planets on the Cancer Capricorn Axis, which focused heavily on the consequences of ignoring in-balances of Private and Public Spheres, was grinding to say the least. Nourishment & Emotional Needs vs Requirements and Pressures from External forces, in order to keep up with the functions of Societies rigid frameworks and expectations; making the past 2 months feel like a slow soft boil set to constant. 🍳The Leo New Moon is when we see that slow cook finally turned off.

As we move into August, where 3 of the 4 personal planets transit Leo and make positive aspects to Jupiter in Sagittarius, allows a restoration of faith and optimism, that Jupiter in Sadge always brings.  His aspects to the Sun, Mercury, Venus & Mars who are in need of Jupiter’s restorative rays are well timed considering the heavy storms created by June & Julys Astro-weather.  This Leo New Moon really gets this process going, helping shift the focus FROM heavy emotional and hard to move out of thoughts and feelings (thanks Mercury Rx in Cancer), DELIVERING us to a place of conviction to move past the issues that have been nabbing us at our heels for the past 2 months. Sun in Leo – Return of the King

Happy Sun into Leo, as of like now ! The Sun finally reaches its domicile, home or sign of its Rulership. It is now that we can begin to feel our way out of the abyss, that we have felt stranded in over the past 2 months.

The Sun’s ingress into Leo today, begins this process … but the full fruits of this shift will not begin until the New Moon in Leo, August 1st AEST….The New Moon in Leo our first non-eclipsed Lunation since June 3rd. How much has changed or shifted since June 3rd ?!!

The Sun’s shift in to Leo today, we can begin to see the fruits of our time alone in the abyss as things become clearer, or optimistic.  With this shift into Leo season, as The Sun & other planets transit Leo, it  also marks the beginnings of positive aspects to Jupiter in Sagittarius, good time guru and wise teacher, finally gets to have some positive help after 2 months of Planetary bodies being caught up in the Doom Clutters of Pluto & Saturn in Capricorn entangled with the Moons Nodes.

Mercury Retrograde in Pisces: Tales from The Omniverse

Mercury entered Pisces on February 11th, for its annual tour through the 12 sign of the zodiac.  Usually its a 14 day jaunt through a sign, but for 2019  Mercury will be settling into Pisces for just over 2 months,  thanks to its upcoming retrograde.

2019 will see the Mercury retrograde’s occurring predominantly in Water signs, with Pisces being the first expression of these transits. The Water element gives the Mercury retrogrades of 2019 a more emotive and internal quality, which differs from recent years.

Mercury being in its fall in Pisces means clarity and logic are 2 things which fall to the wayside, when Mercury transit’s the last sign of the zodiac.  Mercury desires clarity, it loves operating from a space of understanding and rational to help negotiate day-to-day life. Instead Mercury will be navigating a blurred and muddy territory, for a more creative or lucid atmosphere. This is not Mercury’s natural inclination, or something it enjoys doing, but when in Pisces, its made to work within the Piscean realm.

Pisces is a sign of expansive knowing and unknowing.  Of which the space for change, mutation and contradiction is strong, and at times overwhelming. Pisces is intuitive and unstructured, in the way Mercury likes structure, rational and pace.  Pisces is all about communicating in non-traditional ways; dream interpretation, poetry, music or visceral awareness. These two have an Oil and Water effect when they meet. Our job is to allow them to express, rather than try to repress, their attempts for refining the process by throwing away the normal protocols.

Neptune being involved adds to the destabilizing effects on Mercury.  Neptune blurs the edges more, operating from the subconscious, or unseen realms.   Mercury will cross and station direct on Neptune (19 Feb,  25th March – 3 April). Meaning mercury will be subject to strange bendings as he chases Alice down the Rabbit hole creating an almost parallel universe of messages, inspirations and whispers due to this Neptunian influence. Helping to create a dynamic and memorable Mercury Retrograde.

Jupiter squares Mercury during this retrograde phase. (23 Feb, 16 March, 12 April as Jupiter stations retrograde). Neptune helps create the vision, Jupiter then steps in to expand it. Jupiter is giving the big picture view to an idea or vision that was seeded, via the Neptune conjunctions. One planet is inspiring the mercurial, then the other planet is expanding the mercurial with faith, optimism and a big picture approach. This is very dynamic and mysterious transit, but what can be procured from it, is limitless, especially considering that Jupiter also rules Pisces.

Understand that messages don’t have to come through in a clear and logical way. Messages that are hidden, half developed or fractals of ideas  ARE ready to be formed and developed, ARE more powerful and liberating. This is what this transit is really speaking too. It’s a great time for exploration and (un)conscious raising. Why ? Because Pisces energy is not afraid to blur boundaries and try untested ideas with faith and optimism, whist trying its best to reconcile the oppositions for cohesion.

This March retrograde occurs within 2 days of Uranus’ ingress into Taurus and Chiron having just shifting in Aries. Mercury Retro in Pisces adds another important layer to the shifting sands and allows an opportunity to dig deeper into feeling into what these larger   Astrological shifts may mean for you.

Through the Houses

Pisces / Pisces Rising – Finally people might begin to understand some of the wonderful traits you weave through out being, and into life, which you don’t always reveal. Be yourself and use your intuition to remove those who are not aligned for your highest and best. Intuition its super strong right now. Don’t placate those whose don’t jive with this energy, they would never respect or understand your multifaceted talents, so why go there ? Be connected and enjoy those who do ! You might find you yourself more  articulate during this retrograde.

Aries / Aries Rising – Your dreams and subconscious will be activated, clearing out all the debris post Uranus in Aries. This will allow you to see where you stand after 8 years of fighting for your  freedom and innovative new goals within your life. What lies beneath will be fighting for attention to come to the surface this retro. recognised it, Clear it ! This is your first month with out Uranus in your sign in 8 years. It IS a new dawn.  Your subconscious will be purging.

Taurus / Taurus Rising – Friends and your wider community will be harder to pin down or there may be issues with commitment around locking in agendas, or perhaps that’s just the general vibe your feeling. Any signs of people being dis-ingenious could be worth noting.  Monitor it, by April it will be clear to you, if they should remain on the invite list.  Groups or activities around the piscean themes would be good to explore. Water based activities, flotation tanks, meditation, beach walks or any activity that allows you to bring your shadow / unconscious in closer contact to your consciousness.

Gemini / Gemini Rising – If anyone was born to ride this wave of contradiction and change in your career and around public image, its you Gemini. Don’t get caught up in the logic or the reasoning, just know things will change and evolve and go with it. Any career or work related to Art, Creativity and Writing is strong right now ! Delve into it. Social Climbing can come later when Mercury is direct, because there might be promises they can’t  be live up too.

Cancer / Cancer Rising – A great time to do any study or learning around any of the higher arts or any teachings that activates your desire to learn ! Courses, teachers, resources might come to your aid, that really take the education side of this subject next level. Travel plans during this retrograde, might get a bit sticky. Just go with it, and make sure you check all the admin every step of the way. Don’t assume its all in order with regards to travel plans. It will make an ass out of you and me.

Leo / Leo Rising – Do not go into any debt, shared money or investments at this time, you don’t have the full facts or picture. The devil is in the details and this month, all details are skewed and changeable. Reading about UFO’s or any other unexplained paranormal or esoteric (i.e.: Hidden) facts or situations are far more fruitful than business at this time. Just enjoy the carpet ride and do big business invests once we are into April.

Virgo / Virgo Rising – Relations both Personal and Professional are unclear and all over the shop as your ruler is operating completely out of its bounds.  It is frustrating, but its great for any creative hobbies or connections. Let people reveal themselves before you commit to anything one or anything. By April it will be clear.

Libra / Libra Rising – Day to Day routines and Work Situations might not go as smoothly as one would like, but distract from the chaos by appreciating the originality of the chaos and absurdity , I’m sure there would be plenty of tales to come from a Mercury Retrograde as whack as this. Just let it play out. Bringing reading, music or something creative into your routine for pleasure might help balance the scales and create some good (positive) escapism.

Scorpio / Scorpio Rising – Scorpio is perhaps in the best position this retrograde, occurring in your house of creativity, it is a great opportunity for any creative hobby or venture. Conceptual and doing phase, not ideal for a launching phase. The only catch for you, don’t get swept away with any knight in shinning armour activity. Chances are, they aren’t what they first appear, and looks are very deceiving this retrograde.

Sagittarius / Sagittarius Rising – Your home, family and ancestry is where you will have the opportunity to see and let go of any skeletons in the closet. This retrograde might see some surface, ready to be released. Any “Great” real estate deals or offers might be too good to be true. Wait and follow-up in April, when its easier to analyse the details rather than getting caught up in the big picture dreams.

Capricorn / Capricorn Rising – Communications might be a bit to scattered for your liking, take it all with a grain of salt and put any precious communication or thought into writing with creative flare and vision. Others might drive you mad with the chopping and changing of their word, but you have the power to channel into a creative writing or using internet based publishing for great results. Expect tech issues.

Aquarius / Aquarius Rising – Be careful around money and any promises for get rich quick schemes. It’s much better served, investing in yourself, to get rid of any clutter or doubt about your self and self-worth. Subconscious de-clutter being the first stop. Untangling the knots between earned money and self-worth, another possible area of entanglement to clear during this retrograde.

Jupiter in Sagittarius – Return of the King

9 November 2018 – 3 December 2019 – Jupiter in Sagittarius.

On the 9th of November 2018, Jupiter King of the Gods returns to his home sign of Sagittarius (The Archer), for the first time in 12 years. Jupiter cycles are yearly cycles with a reputation of creating lucky opportunities in the areas of life, that this planet transits in your birth chart.

Jupiter returning home to Sagittarius in 2018, will be the break in the astrological weather we have been working so hard to reach, after universally speaking,  a very trying year. Think back to 12 years ago, or 24 years ago to see what happened then, for hints of what could pop up this time around  (2006 / 2007 or 1995 / 1996). This is a cycle of optimism and expansion, but even more so, when Jupiter returns home to the sign of its rulership.  Jupiter in Sagittarius ! What can go wrong?  I mean we are talking the king of the gods here.

So what changes ? Buoyancy, Optimism, Faith, Movement, Travel, Luck, Creativity, Passion and a Willingness to Learn and Understand;  suddenly gets bolstered in the Astrological frame-work. 2018’s Yin year has been a VERY internal and different year in comparison to the 2 previous Yang (expansion) years.

2018 has seen a plethora of challenging retrograde’s.  Mercury Retrograding in Fire signs who are proficient in accelerating mis-understandings has also creating some pretty fiery reactions / communications in return. Mars was given a bolster by its transit in Capricorn the sign that its strongest in aside from its ruler – Aries.  Mars then retrograded in Aquarius, for the first time since 1970, before turning direct on the exact point of its strength 28 degrees of Capricorn. Literally the worst possible time for the Liberals to axe Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull (results from that are due in 2019). Mars Retrograde, left most of the rest of us floundering, all this work for no progress or movement forward, or strange left field obstacles coming from nowhere to challenge or block your energy and power.  Once Mars went direct – Venus decided to go Retrograde in Scorpio, which is basically all about digging through all the sludge and diving deep into the sewers to unblock the blockages, blockages we  really didn’t want to venture down into. Jupiter, our dear friend Jupiter is also in Scorpio amplifying this Venus retrograde by being in Scorpio. And yes here we are…

Jupiter moving in to Sagittarius will be the 3rd planet to be in its sign it Rules, This makes for some powerful and potentially corrective Astrology. Neptune is in Pisces for the first time in 164 years is half way through its transit.  Saturn in Capricorn for the first time in 28 years, is in its first quarter of its transit,  Now Jupiter is entering Sagittarius for the first time in 12 years, to lift the spirits with a healthy dose of positivity and buoyancy. These are all external / macro / social or societal planets, they are heavy hitters. They take YEARS to move around the birth-chart. They offer big shifts in psychic, situation and circumstances. These planets can alter paths by creating opportunities for change. Pluto the head transformer, is not in its rulership in Capricorn but it is pretty much near exultation in Capricorn, so can be also linked by association. Pluto in Capricorn & Jupiter in Scorpio have been very good transits to help expose the poison.

So what happens when Jupiter hits Sagittarius ? Optimism, Speculation, Faith, Fun, Exuberance, Passion and Enthusiasm, Exapansion. All great key words here, but the key to being successful in a time of Jupiter in Sagittarius, is to be MEASURED. Sometimes this transit can lead to blind optimism, blind faith or an over exertion of enthusiasm ESPECIALLY after difficult or more challenging times. Jupiter loves to celebrate and party and so does the sign of Sagittarius, but the very important measure for the next year is to be MEASURED. Would your bigger decisions hold up in a time of austerity ? Money is very important to watch with Jupiter in Sagittarius, as there is a tendency to be overly jovial and over extend with it, it might come easily, but it is just as likely to go easy as well.  Waistlines another thing that are physical manifestations of a Jupiter in Sagittarius cycle, due to its tendency to lead to living life-like an Emperor, 365 day a year.

Jupiter going into Sagittarius IS  a wonderful time to expand Travel, Study, Be Social, Interact and get involved in pursuits that interest you !  Learning, Education, Traveling, Positive Mindset, Connecting with Friends and Family as well an increased level of Faith with regards to any of the above are positive manifestations of this Jupiter Cycle.  It’s a blessed year of opportunity and positive gains as long as Recklessness doesn’t come into the equation, or overly zealous dogma, as Jupiter is just as likey to expand this along with  other manifestations.

Finally its time to celebrate the gains we have made and processed in 2018 ! At the time of this shift, we will also see the Nodes of the Moon move from Leo / Aquarius into Cancer / Capricorn for 18 months. This sees a move in the eclipse cycles and moves the focus of the nodes aka destiny points. Cancer (Home, Mother, Nurture, Ancestors, Family) see the North Node (a pushing forward, a consuming of things that nourish or nurture these themes) while the South Node ( the letting go of and releasing) of theme to do with Status, Power, Position and Acclaim. This Nodal shift also sees more pressure put on this axis which already has Saturn and Pluto transforming and reconstructing Capricorn themes of Power, Status and Government.  Jupiter in Sagittarius really is a last gasp of a chance of fresh Philosphy,  fresh Passion and Creativity before it moves in Capricorn late 2019, leading us into the very potent time of 2020.

If there is a time to party and celebrate, Jupiter in Sagittarius is it. And Hey ! It’s just in time for Summer in the Southern Hemisphere ! It might feel a bit slow to begin with as Mercury goes retrograde in Sagittarius for the first 3 weeks, but come December – its time to free yourself from the lessons of 2018, and burn off some steam by becoming passionate and involving yourself in life and all its sweet offerings !  Chances are there will be a nice little surprise along the way to sweeten the ride. For People with  Sagittarius Sun, Moon or Ascendant, it’s a fresh new start as Jupiter crosses over these points of their chart.  Saturn’s 3 year transit of Dec 2014 – Dec 2017, was an astrological   hammering. The hard work, loss of faith and rebuilding from this time, will be clearly seen during this Jupiter in Sagittarius transit, as you turn a new leaf for a new 12 year cycle. Giving Sagittarian’s the one thing that is most important to them, Optimism and Joy for the great things to come.

Jupiter in Scorpio: Pleasure & Conquests

Jupiter, King of the Gods, the planet we look to when we wish to create more abundance in life is moving signs !  the great benefic moves from Libra to Scorpio on October 11th 2017 for a 12 month transit of Scorpio.

After a year in Libra, the sign of balance, harmony, justice, art and aesthetics  – Jupiter will enter Scorpio – the sign that likes to dig deep into the watery depths of ones psychology, subconscious & shadowside. Accelerating our growth from the 2012 – 2015 era.  This journey has the potential to reach the great depths of our psyche, creating the right opportunities for long-term & positive change. Analysing and working towards ditching our long-term negative habits will suddenly become very enticing.

After a year trying to smooth-out relations with people, along with  issues of balance, around the collective and the individual; Jupiter in Libra hasn’t always been an easy ride. Uranus the planet of Surprise and Rebellion opposed this Jupiter Libra from Aries. The sign of the Individual (Aries) challenged this attempted growth of Libran Ideals.  Ideals of balancing the collective wasn’t so easily obtained.  Pluto the planet of Transformation and regeneration (after the death of old ways of being), also squared this Jupiter in Libra from Capricorn. As much as Jupiter in Libra wanted to expand its liberating and collective ideas, to balance out the fiery energy that dominated the year, there were challenged to it.

Jupiter, when it shifts in to Scorpio will be the first shift into a new era.  All this intense unpredictable fire energy that has dominated the past 2 years, will finally cool off.  The planets move into more Earth and Water dominated signs.  Jupiter into Scorpio is the first step towards the cooling off period.  We will see more stability, conservatism and a slower pace of evolution. This shift will have deeper and more lasting effects. The pace will also slow right down. Accelerated growth will be replaced with more planned and considered evaluation and evolution.

Jupiter takes 12 years to go around the Zodiac, Jupiter cycles are seen as being healthy for development, growth, joy, excitement and optimism, The only real issue with Jupiter energy is to make sure you don’t over extend yourself or get to ambitious and over commit. Jupiter loves to say yes to every opportunity !

The last time Jupiter was in Scorpio was late 2005 – 2006. It’s best to look back to this time to see what was expanded, inflated or a source of joy for you at this time to understand what this next Jupiter cycle might entail or what can be built on this time around.

This upcoming transit of  Jupiter in Scorpio will be a nice healing transit for all the muck that was raked and plowed up with Saturn’s transit of Scorpio of October 2012 – December 2014 & Mid 2015.  When Saturn progressed in to Scorpio for 2.5 years, all things to do with Personal development and your inner psychology was under the microscope. Muck was raked around and anything that was not benefiting you or anything past its used by date was deconstructed.

It was a long and slow arduous process of digging deep into the emotional dirt to see what diamonds could be plucked, and anything not required taken away, whether you agreed to it or not.  This Saturn transit was about letting go of things that didn’t work to create better, bigger, stronger foundations to build on.

Now that Jupiter is coming back over this terrain,  it’s a little blessing and a small give back for all the hard work that was done in this 2012 – 2015 era.  Jupiter is the light and the fertiliser to allow the seeds from this time to grow and sprout after having 2 years of incubation, hidden from view.

So what are these Scorpio-esque ideas that I speak of ?  What will Jupiter be allowing its growth and expansion to really hook into ? Scorpio is ruled by Pluto – god of the underworld. The great transformer. Scorpio is the Death card in the Tarot, representing new life after the death or passing of an old life or way of being. Scorpio is the sign that rules Psychology, Complexity, Shadow Work, Therapy especially psychotherapy, Magic & The Esoteric, The Intuition, Emotions, Emotional Complexities, Compassion and Deeper Connections with People at large. It’s about understanding more of your own and other people’s patterns and innate processes. Moving deeper than the superficial. Scorpio is all about deeper levels of Understanding of yourself and others as well as the world around you.  Jupiter is here to expand this and take it to the next level of development. It’s the rewards of all the hard work done a few years back.

To complement this transit, Uranus the Planet of Surprise, Rebellion, Innovation and Revolution will change signs into Taurus in 2018. Taurus an earth sign will give stability to this Jupiter transit in a Water Sign.   Saturn, the planet of Structure and Karma also moves into Capricorn in December 2017 beginning a 2.5 year transit in Capricorn its ruler. Uranus and Saturn moving into Earth signs will be creating a strong structure for this Jupiter transit so it can be deeply submerged  into, safely. As the outer planets move into Earth based signs it creates more support and structure allowing this Jupiter in Scorpio transit to progress without the fiery challenges that were faced with its Libra transit.

Now is the chance to re-activate and find joy within exploring the depths of self discovery and development. Jupiter in Scorpio will bequeath many gifts, in a safe and more structured environment. You may end up coming across on a much deeper level than before. Any publishing or internet communications may get picked up by people or what you are putting out there really connects with people on a very deep level. Your words resonate ! Your connections with your siblings if you have them may deepen. The only thing you need to be aware of is that you don’t come across to sharp or sting too much ! Scorpio has a well renowned tail that can bite, especially with its communication.

Libra / Libra Rising

Libra’s experience of this Jupiter transit as it moves into its 2nd house of Finances and Self Worth, will be rewarding. June Astrological Highlights

The Astrological Highlights of June start off beautifully with Venus and Mercury going into their ruling sign’s. Finally giving them the chance to reinstate their full power and drive, after being stuck in the Retrograde cycle for most of the year.

Venus on June 7th makes her ingress into Taurus a sign of her rulership, after being Retrograde since late February. In her retrograde cycle she was challenged at a number of points by both Saturn (karma and reality checks) as well as being in the sign of Aries. A fire sign which gets quite heated for an earth and air loving Venus.  Venus’s ingress into Taurus allows Venus to breath and make good on all her plans and lessons that have been fighting to get air time since late February.  Venus, being stuck in this loop has seen lots of things being thrown around but not much traction for getting Venus things done !  Venusian pleasure will finally take centre stage and the pleasure of being able to do it will be twofold ! June 7th would be a lovely time to take a moment and celebrate it.

On the same day – Mercury who has also been stuck in the retrograde pattern this time in Taurus/Aries, makes its way into Gemini, the sign of its rulership. It to, like Venus has been stuck in a strange time warp, in a sign that it doesn’t really get along with. Mercury the trickster when Retrograde tends to play its tricks in the style of the sign its retrograde in. The Retrograde it has just come out of had the double doozy of being conjunct Uranus. The planet of the unexpected, change and revolutionary ideas. It can be Genius but it can also be chaotic. With Mercury’s ingress into Gemini – like Venus it gets to finally get some traction in a sign that shows off its, strengths, ideas, communication and technology;  finally moving forward, in a progressive way. Strong  foundations have been made after the Retrograde strengthening.

So with 2 of the most important personal and internal planets finally at their best positions all year,  3 days later Jupiter, the great giver of gifts and expansion also moves direct from its Retrograde in Libra. (Yes that’s how may planets have been retrograde over the past 2 months !). Jupiter finally goes direct conjunct or next to the Full Moon in Sagittarius, its ruler (party emoji).  Emotional cleansing of the Full Moon &  expansion, rebalancing and artistic growth with Jupiter Direct, The lessons learnt from the last 5 months, this is a nice reward. Jupiter likes to expand and make things bigger. Libra is all about justice, balancing the individual and the collective on artistic and egalitarian realms. It strives for a balance to all things both politically and artistically.  There might be a feeling of new equilibrium as Jupiter enters its last third of its transit of Libra. Make the most of this before the balance of expansion and ideas moves into a heavier and more underworld or internal sphere, with its entry into Scorpio in October this year.

Mars enters Cancer on June 5th. Yes that is 4 planets changing signs within a week. Brings down the tone a little bit. With all the energy shifts happening across a week, Mars’s entry into Cancer sees a bit of a slow down around all the other energies who are working in their optimal spaces. Mars – your power source as well as your ability to assert yourself isn’t so comfortable in Cancer. Cancer is Cardinal Water or the General of the Water signs, Mars a Fire energy, it ain’t so happy in Water. What Mars in Cancer does do is bring down the Mars fire and energy to bring it inward. There will be more focus on emotions and emotional wellbeing. A positive use of this energy is to work through any emotional blocks for feelings that you might have. Therapy would be really good to do right now if you feel it would help advance you. The negative side to this energy would be to be malicious or emotional manipulative to other around you. Being to needy or even having a few drinks before the emo beast arises and is unleashed. Mars in Cancer needs to be contained and to be aware of, as an energy before you decide to unleash any emo stuff onto other people. Always ask – where is this coming from. Is this the best way and time to express it. Mars in Cancer is intuition and emotions turbo charges – Especially around the solstice ! when things may feel other worldly. But it might not always come out as articulately as you think, as Mars and Cancer aren’t comfortable in each others spheres naturally.

Full Moon on 9th June in Sagittarius will be a stonker of a Full Moon. Conjunct or next to Jupiter its ruler going direct. Full Moons LOVE something to Bounce off and when its next to its ruler going direct, June 9th will be one hell of a night. The breath of fresh air from Venus and Mercury’s entry into Taurus and Gemini will really bounce off this Full Moon and it will be the break in the energy we have been waiting for, for months ! IF there is a Full Moon to celebrate this year, this would be it.

The Sun entering Cancer on June 21st signifies the Winters Solstice in the Southern Hemisphere and the Summer Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere. With the New Moon occurring 24th / 25th of June trine Venus in Taurus, The Solstice will have a nice Venus influence emotionally connecting us to Venus / Solstice type things. Nurture,Food, Land, Nature, Relations with others and Health. The Solstices are naturally turbo charged with a thinning of the veils between the worlds. It’s also great natural re-set button. With June’s positive and strong beginning the Solstices will be a nice time to reset and look back on all the hard work done in the first 6 months of the year.

Post Solstice – Mars our inner warrior must get bored with all this wonderful resetting and re-evaluation and applies some action towards the end of the month.

As the month closes Mars’s gets up to its old tricks and starts to want to break out of the relaxed jovial setting. In the last week of June, It opposes Pluto and Squares Jupiter. Mars is an aggressor and accelerant, a get up and doer. When it opposes Pluto in Capricorn its emotional and intuitive slant in Cancer begins to awaken a beast in Capricorn the sign of Governance, Status and Power. There could be some internal or external power issues between power and your emotions. Or it could be a reassessment of what you think of as a status tool,  is it really emotionally serving you.

Mars squaring off to Jupiter might add some heat to this balancing act that Jupiter has just been able to stretch its legs on. The aggressive emotional assessment of what Jupiter has in play to keep everyone at bay, may come into question or is challenge. Perhaps from a personal perspective once again an emotional/intuitive assessment of what is Jupiter proposes internally or externally may come under the microscope, Head vs Intuition kinds of testings.

Overall June sees a releasing of lots of withheld energy and pressure, with things beginning to come around again.  The pleasure and ease we think things should be, begins to return.  The Solstice and Moons this month are particularly healthy and positive, feeding some great energy into this resetting time. As the month closes Mars may come in and throw a little tanty at the party. But hey where would be with out some Martial interference. Its nothing compared to what we have just been through for the past 6 months, right !

Mars Conjunct Pluto – The Transmutation

This week is Mars Conjunct Pluto in Capricorn – creating the great transmutation. Every 2 years Mars the Warrior meets Pluto the God of the Underworld, to excellerate the evolutionary process. Mars is the accelerant to Pluto’s transformative powers as they join in Capricorn a sign that Mars relishes. Mars is super souped up after spending most of the year in Scorpio and Sagittarius due to an almighty retrograde.

Mars is the old ruler of Scorpio, with Pluto being its newer ruler. These two know each other and this Mars is super hot and turbo charged after being held up, delayed, frustrated yet reflective and self analysing in Scorpio. Its focus was the inner sub conscious, psychology, depth, the shadow and other people’s money, debt and loans. It then got fired up with Sagittarian things such as philosophy, travel, adventure and culture. Now it is in Capricorn where it’s thinking logistics, building, status and power, money and government. All these things blending together in this newly formed flame. When it meets Pluto this week it is firing up things that can transform you. Resurrect you.

Mars conjunct Pluto in Capricorn is an energetic release of energy that is really propelling you to take the bull by the horns and come out of the chrysalis. Things may happen suddenly and abruptly or they could be you deciding to step it up and speed up any transformation or change that you have been toying with for a while. The catch is that it might be in your sub conscious and not fully conscious. Because it is Pluto there will be fear attached. But Mars is here to burn off the fear and pull you out from a new birthing. This doesn’t have to be negative, it all depends where you are at.

Mars during its retrograde made a strong conjunction to Saturn, Capricorn’s is ruler in the past 3 months, making this a 3 way triple hit of rulers and signs blending and working with each other over a very small time period and it’s game on.

This Mars and Pluto conjunction will affect on a micro and macro level, with things also playing out on the world stage.  Jupiter coming in from Libra will also give a sub flow of an exaggerating need of balance of the individual and the group as well as justice.

The next few weeks will be interesting and a really good time to harness this energy at play and really work with it rather than against the process. How this unfolds for you as an individual and where it may play out will depend on your chart but this is a wonderful landscape for new beginnings and allowing the shadow side to be observed and welcomed to the whole. Bringing the shadow out of its shadow.

Jupiter into Virgo – Making Hay While the Sun Shines

August 11th 2015, marks Jupiter’s movement into Virgo after a year in fiery Leo. As observed in 400 BC by Chinese astronomers, Jupiter moves through the signs every 12 – 13 months, completing its cycle every 12 years. Jupiter is the great benefactor, the gift giver, the lucky one, the planet of expansion, growth, good fortune, jovial magic and blessings. Wherever your Jupiter transit is happening  things are just easier, good opportunities come to you, whether you see them or not !

The last time Jupiter went into Virgo was 31st August 2003 – 26th  September 2004. You are now looking at being able to build on and expand on the opportunities given to you at the time, 12 years prior. What happened back then ? Can you see how you might be able to expand on events from or that began back then?

Virgo, an Earth sign is all about Work and the Body.  Service to work and how you look after your body to be of service and work. In Astrology these things are linked – they can’t be separated. Without looking after you body you can not work. Food, health, routines, attention and analysis to your service to work are the underling themes with this Jupiter in Virgo transit. Are theses routines healthy ? Do they serve you ? Do you need to change anything for greater benefit ?

If you have any planets in Virgo or its hitting any important points in your chart, the focus will be great (whether you choose it or not !) . You will be given the opportunity to grow or really be blessed with choice or great opportunities in certain areas over the next year. When Jupiter is around great opportunities seem to just fall from the air !

Pluto aspecting Jupiter’s move through Virgo augments it or gives it more oomph. Since Pluto will be trining from Capricorn (another work based sign focusing on status and achievement) this idea of being able to transform your working environment and life will be given more support to allow this process to happen in a smoother way, with more punch.

In old Astrology Jupiter aspecting Pluto like this is said to be the mogul transit. Great power and achievements can be made when Pluto the planet of Transformation and Regeneration (phoenix from ashes, snakes shedding skins type stuff) is making a positive aspect to Jupiter (good luck and expansion) in the sign of daily work and health.

The last time Jupiter was in Virgo it had Uranus making a difficult aspect from Aquarius, making this Jupiterian expansion turbulent with sometimes volatile changes making the Jupitarian vibe harder to access. This time around it’s not the case. Don’t be surprised if you see the economy pick up, more benefits coming towards you in the work environment. Jupiter is a strong energy, he is in mythology the God who ruled over all the other Gods ! The saying “By Jove” to express surprise and excitement, and the word Jovial come directly from Jupiter and his lucky reputation as a giver of gifts and happy times. He is a powerful figure and is very much about you & society. Jupiter governs the individual and the world, and the relationship of the two.

Now is a really good time to get into some more healthy practises for your body, aim or looking at achieving new goals at work as well working on areas that make you anxious (Virgo can be an anxious energy) healthy (physical and psychological) self-mastery is really the key here. A bit like the 7 & 8 of pentacles in Tarot.

On its lower end energetically beware of nervous and anxiety being more apparent, stress of work being manifested with illness in the body, manipulation of alcohol or things you put IN your body (using what you put in your body to control other stresses ) these are all very indicative of an unhealthy manifestation of the Virgo energy. With Jupiter coming into play, these things can become more overwhelming and expansive.

Jupiter into Virgo this August 11th is a wonderful time to sit down and look at what goals you might want to achieve in the area of work and health as your more likely to get them  ! Write them down, analysis them, think practically the steps you might have to take to get them. Earth energy loves to be practical, solid, grounded, pragmatic, logical. Virgo gets off on analysis and this transit might allow you to as well.

Jupiter isn’t about sitting on your ass and waiting for it, its more like if you steer your ship into the new direction you want to achieve,  Jupiter will make the sailing all the smoother and easier, with the antidote “your ship is about to come in” being tres on point for this golden jovial jupitarian transit. Now is the time to go forward’s and conquer, as the king of the gods and the great beneficent is bestowing new blessings for you to work with, for the first time in 12 years.

You will be looking at people recognising you for your talent in the work place, all your hard work will be paying off as people finally applaud and recognise all the work you have done, this becomes good way to see your identity and ego expand (Just don’t go OTT). This is a good time and opportunity to use that Virgoan trait of analysis and self bettering improvement in the area of your life around the inner you (your mind – sub conscious – the hidden – the mystical and spiritual) by analysing your subconscious, your shadow side more could see great opportunity to know thy self more for greater gains when you pop out the other side in a years time. “Hey Jupiter, No one is picking up the phone, I guess its me and me” Tori Amos – Hey Jupiter.

Well, its been feeling a little bit like that since Jupiter turned retrograde on 9th December 2014.  Jupiter the great benefactor, our jovial Joie de Vivre, is turning his spirits around THIS Thursday after a 4 month retrograde in Leo. Retrogrades are tricky little pieces of time travel where a planet is moving backwards, so its energy is not manifested directly or in a forward and expansive motion. All planets retrograde with the Mercury Retrograde being the most commonly discussed retrograde.

Retrogrades are a great time for going inward – introspection, reviewing, analysis etc. With all the heavy hitting astrology of this year, Pluto (deep transformation) square (difficult aspect) to Uranus (surprise, change, revolution), New moons conjunct Pluto, Blood Moons, Mercury retrograde etc Jupiter going direct on Thursday is going to be a welcome relief and one that resonates with people sooner rather than later !

Jupiter is the planet of luck, expansion, travel, jovialness, enthusiasm, higher philosophy – so with luck and expansion being restricted and not able to properly assert his energy with all this tough other astrology going down, this Jupiter direct is going to be the hit we need to start moving forward after a challenging start to 2015.

Jupiter has been in Leo since July 2014 and will remain there until August 2015 before moving in to Virgo. Jupiter in Leo gives you a good hit of 12 year luck and expansion wherever you have Leo in your birth chart, your finances, your career, relationships etc.  Jupiter in Leo is NOT shy, it’s not quiet, its got quite a nice bit of flare and expansion. Best of all he LOVES being in the fire signs.
